Energy Research in the University of Lincoln School of Engineering

Energy research in the School of Engineering is centered around the Industrial Power and Energy Research Group (IPERG).

Members of the Group conduct fundamental and applied R&D across a wide range of market sectors. These range from  Automotive and Aerospace engineering to low carbon airport operation and built environment energy control.

We have extensive experience in delivering research activities which are funded from a broad portfolio of funding sources, including the UK Research Councils, EU Framework Programmes, direct industrial funding, and consultancy and support activities for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The School of Engineering at the University of Lincoln was founded in 2009, and is the first new School of Engineering in the UK for over 20 years. We have drawn our staff from many of the UK’s top engineering faculties, and offer expertise in the areas of Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical and Control Engineering.

energy-institute.eu acts as a portal for our activities, including a news and current work blog, profiles of our inter-disciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration, and information for interested parties who are looking for academic partners in energy research.
